Villas

Exquisite manor-houses are scattered along the bridle path, starting from Tavagnacco Villa Di Prampero right on the bank of the Cormôr with its beautiful gardens, made up of the owner’s mansion, the noble Neo-Gothic chapel and the rustic outbuildings. Its XVII century structure has been readapted. In the centre of Feletto Umberto stands Villa Tinin from the XVI century and, a few hundred metres away is the villa where the famous geologist Egidio Feruglio was born. Villa Colombatti at Castellerio di Pagnacco beside the Tristano Bruni riding school was built in 1675 on the old castle. It also comprises a park, stables and the eighteenthcentury chapel of San Luca. The wine cellar (foladôr) and the carriage depot used to be in the lower wing, which is the oldest part of the building. Also worthy of note in Pagnacco is the castle (XII-XVIII cent.) of Fontanabona.
In Tricesimo a high crenellated stone wall marks the boundary of the beautiful Villa Folli Tacelli Orgnani (XVII century). From the Pontebbana highway two inviting rows of pyramidalis white poplars highlight the beauty of the villa, while from the opposite side the building complex marks the village of Laipacco. It comprises the landlord’s house, the small noble church dedicated to Saint George as well as the rustic outbuildings.
Not far away on a hill with a garden and outbuildings rises the complex of the Villa Rubeis Masieri built in the second half of the XVII century on the remains of a fourteenth century fortress. The façade has a jutting part with a gable and a large through-hall on two floors on the inside.
Also worth mentioning is Villa Tartagna Colla di Leonacco probably built in the XVIII century in an area near the village of Ellero, while the dominant aspect at Montegnacco in the municipality of Cassacco is the Villa Gallici Deciani (foto) – an old family from Bergamo who moved here in 1600. The façade of the villa is divided into three parts and used to have a double staircase, while inside a balcony surrounds a large hall on two floors.
