Cormôr valley

In the heart of Friuli, a land full of beautiful landscapes and history in the centre of Europe, there is a trail, a bridle path, an enchanting 30 km route suitable for horse-riding or cycling, or even for walks, away from the busy road and havoc, where life seems to slow down and go at a softer and calmer pace.
This trail, which runs through the Longobard towns of Tavagnacco, Pagnacco, Cassacco, across the fascinating Cormôr valley, or the towns scattered over the moraine hills such as Tricesimo, Colloredo di Monte Albano, Treppo Grande and Buja, is a privilege for those who love the tranquillity, the sounds and colours of nature, the flavours of a traditional cuisine or for those who love to discover the history and culture in this area by visiting the castles, churches and manorhouses.
First of all let’s take a journey through these pictures and then we’ll meet up for a ride on horseback or bike along this route, certain of finding hospitable, well-prepared people who can organise our free time and our true moments of freedom in nature.
Setting off to discover this area means to sink into places that are rich with history and personality and that are still able to offer surprises. The landscape in this corner of Friuli among the Alps and the plain and, the artistic and architectural evidence is varied.
